'We are Family' Club 
Aims
- To provide a safe, happy and healthy environment where each person knows they are valued and appreciated for whom they are.
- To unconditionally accept all parents, and encourage and support all parents in raising happy and healthy children.
- To build confidence and self esteem in parents, as parents, and as unique individuals.
- To experientially teach life skills and positive parenting skills.

To enable and equip young parents to find support in any areas which trouble them.
- To help young parents to grow healthy support systems.
- To provide additional support outside the group hours as individual needs arise.
- To provide a crèche which runs to a high standard.
- To award parents who complete the course an accredited certificate.
Activities
Support, discussions, practical help, food, fun, outings, new friends, learning on topics such as: What children really need, developing emotional security, setting loving limits, keeping safe, problem solving skills for you, relationships help, conflict resolution, anger management and much more.
Time and Place
We are Family meets on Mondays 11.00am - 1.00pm in the Children's Centre, in the Memorial Baptist Church, Plaistow, on Barking Road, E13 (opposite the Police Station).
Other information
We are Family is especially suitable for young and vulnerable parents under 21 who would like support with life as well as parenting skills. There is a crèche provided during each session - sometimes activities include parents and children working together, usually parents can have a break and discuss and learn together. Those who attend regularly will achieve an accredited certificate at the end of the year. Each session also provides a little food.
